Job Description We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Manager - Recovery & Collections to lead and oversee comprehensive collections and recovery operations for a range of banking products including Business Loans, Personal Loans, and Credit Card Loans. This role is ideal for a strategic leader with a strong background in both telecalling and field collections who can manage a hybrid model seamlessly integrating call center operations with on-ground recovery efforts. The Manager will report to the Senior Manager - Recovery & Collections or Regional Collections Manager and will be responsible for driving optimal recovery rates while maintaining full compliance with regulatory and ethical standards. The ideal candidate combines hands-on operational expertise with leadership acumen, capable of implementing effective collections strategies across diverse product verticals and managing high-performing teams to achieve company-wide recovery objectives. This position offers exposure to end-to-end collections lifecycle management, from early-stage customer outreach through late-stage recovery interventions. You will work in a dynamic, high-performing environment within a rapidly growing organization, playing a critical role in translating strategic recovery goals into operational execution and sustainable performance improvements. Requirements Must-Have Experience & Credentials: • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in collections & recovery operations, preferably in banking or NBFC environments • At least 1.5 years in a managerial or supervisory role overseeing collections teams • Proven expertise in managing a hybrid collections model combining call center and field recovery operations • Hands-on working knowledge of dialer systems, allocation strategies, and call center optimization • Strong proficiency in Excel, MIS reporting, and performance dashboard creation • Demonstrated expertise in both early-stage and late-stage collections strategies and customer management Core Competencies Required: • Proven team leadership and management capabilities with ability to lead and mentor 15+ member teams • Excellent stakeholder management and senior leadership communication skills • Strong analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making approach • Deep understanding of regulatory compliance requirements including RBI-mandated fair collection practices • Ability to balance customer relationship management with aggressive recovery performance targets • Experience in handling escalations and managing complex compliance requirements Preferred Qualifications: • DRA Certification (Debt Recovery Agent) • Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field • Experience in managing end-to-end client interactions and conducting formal performance reviews • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure while meeting stringent recovery targets and KPIs
