Electrical Engineer (Canada)

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain electrical systems and components. The ideal candidate will work on a variety of projects, ensuring systems meet safety, quality, and performance standards while adhering to project timelines and budgets. Key Responsibilities Design and develop electrical systems, circuits, and components for various applications Prepare technical drawings, schematics, and specifications Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electrical systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, civil, and software engineers Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies Perform site inspections and provide technical support during installation and commissioning Analyze project requirements and recommend cost-effective solutions Maintain documentation, reports, and project records Support maintenance and upgrade of existing electrical systems Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field Proven experience in electrical design, testing, or project execution Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and control systems Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, MATLAB, or similar tools Understanding of relevant codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, etc.) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (optional) Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or construction projects Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA systems, or power systems Professional certification or license (if applicable) Key Skills Technical expertise in electrical engineering principles Project management and organizational skills Attention to detail and accuracy Communication and teamwork abilities Time management and multitasking Working Conditions Office and on-site work environment May require travel to project sites Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects
