Staff Nurse – Job Description Job Title: Staff Nurse Job Summary: We are looking for a compassionate, skilled, and responsible Staff Nurse to join our hospital team. The candidate will be responsible for providing quality patient care, assisting doctors, administering medications, monitoring patients, and maintaining proper nursing documentation. Key Responsibilities: * Provide quality nursing care to patients. * Monitor and record patients’ vital signs and health conditions. * Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the doctor. * Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and treatments. * Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and patient records. * Observe patients and promptly report any changes in their condition to the doctor or senior nurse. * Follow infection control and hospital safety protocols. * Maintain proper patient care and ensure patient comfort and safety. * Perform admission, transfer, and discharge procedures as per hospital policy. * Maintain proper documentation of medications, treatments, and nursing care. * Handle medical equipment properly and report any issues. * Educate patients and their attendants regarding basic care and treatment instructions. * Maintain cleanliness and a safe environment in the patient care area. * Work effectively with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. * Perform other duties assigned by the nursing in-charge or management. Qualifications: * GNM or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution. * Valid registration with the State Nursing Council. Experience: * Freshers and experienced candidates may apply. * Hospital experience will be an added advantage. Skills Required: * Good clinical and patient-care skills. * Good communication and interpersonal skills. * Knowledge of basic nursing procedures. * Ability to work in a team. * Compassionate and patient-friendly attitude. * Ability to work in shifts, if required. * Basic computer knowledge is an added advantage.
