. Attending Customers (The First Impression)
This phase focuses on the first few minutes a customer walks into a store, branch, or dealership.
• Greeting & Rapport Building: Making the customer feel welcome with a warm approach without being overly aggressive or pushy.
• Need Discovery (Profiling): Asking open-ended questions to figure out exactly what the customer wants, their budget, and their timeline.
• Active Listening: Reading body language and verbal cues to understand the customer's unstated preferences or hesitations.
2. The Pitch & Product Demonstration (Creating Value)
This is where you match the customer’s discovered needs to the right product or service.
• Feature-to-Benefit Mapping: Instead of just listing what a product does, explaining how it directly solves the customer's specific problem.
• Storytelling & Engagement: Letting the customer touch, feel, try on, or test the product to build psychological ownership.
• Upselling & Cross-Selling: Suggesting premium versions or matching accessories that complement their primary purchase.
3. Objection Handling (Overcoming Hesitation)
Customers rarely buy immediately without questions; this stage tests your problem-solving skills.
• Price Justification: Reframing the cost as a long-term investment, value-for-money, or breaking it down into monthly EMIs.
• Addressing Skepticism: Reassuring the customer about product quality, warranty policies, and after-sales service.
• Competitor Comparison: Fairly highlighting your product's edge without speaking negatively about competitors.
4. Converting to Sales (Closing the Deal)
The final step is smoothly guiding the customer from "just looking" to making a financial transaction.
• Buying Signals Recognition: Spotting cues like asking about payment options, delivery dates, or looking closely at the warranty.
• Closing Techniques: Using standard closing methods (e.g., "Assumptive Close" like 'Would you prefer to pay via card or UPI?' or "Urgency Close" like 'This offer ends today').
• Billing Handoff: Ensuring the billing, packaging, or documentation process is seamless so the customer leaves with a positive final memory.
