# JOB DESCRIPTION ## Interior Site Supervisor – Interior & Fit-Out Projects ### Position **Interior Site Supervisor** ### Industry **Interior Design, Interior Fit-Out & Turnkey Contracting** ### Reporting To Project Manager / Site Engineer / Project Head ### Job Purpose We are looking for an experienced and responsible **Interior Site Supervisor** to supervise and coordinate day-to-day interior and fit-out works at project sites. The candidate will be responsible for executing interior works as per **approved architectural, interior design, MEP and shop drawings**, maintaining quality and workmanship, coordinating workers and subcontractors, monitoring materials and ensuring timely completion of site activities. ## Key Responsibilities ### 1. Drawing & Site Execution * Read and understand architectural, interior and MEP drawings. * Execute site works as per approved drawings and specifications. * Coordinate with the design and project team regarding drawing clarifications. * Ensure proper implementation of dimensions, levels, layouts and finishes. * Check site conditions before starting each activity. * Identify drawing/site discrepancies and report them to the Project Manager. ### 2. Interior Fit-Out Works Supervision Supervise and coordinate works including: * Civil and finishing works * False ceiling * Gypsum partitions * Flooring and tiling * Wall finishes * Painting * Carpentry and joinery * Modular and custom furniture * Doors and frames * Glass and aluminium works * Wall panelling * Decorative finishes * Kitchen and pantry works * Toilet and sanitary-related works * Electrical works * HVAC-related works * Plumbing works * Fire-fighting / fire alarm related works * Other interior and MEP fit-out works ### 3. Labour & Subcontractor Management * Allocate daily work to carpenters, electricians, painters, ceiling workers, flooring workers and other trades. * Supervise subcontractors and labour teams. * Monitor productivity and workmanship. * Ensure sufficient manpower is available for planned activities. * Coordinate different trades to avoid clashes and delays. * Maintain discipline and proper working practices at site. ### 4. Quality Control * Ensure all works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications. * Check dimensions, alignment, levels, finishing and workmanship. * Inspect materials before installation. * Identify defective or poor-quality work and arrange rectification. * Ensure proper finishing and detailing. * Coordinate inspections with the Project Manager / Client / Consultant. ### 5. Site Coordination * Coordinate daily activities with Project Manager, Site Engineer, QS, Designers and subcontractors. * Coordinate with MEP teams to avoid service clashes with interior works. * Ensure proper sequence of work. * Coordinate material deliveries and site storage. * Follow the project schedule and daily work targets. * Report site issues and delays immediately. ### 6. Material Management * Check materials received at site against approved specifications. * Verify quantity and condition of materials. * Ensure materials are properly stored and protected. * Monitor material consumption and wastage. * Inform the Project Manager regarding material shortages. * Coordinate material requirements with the stores/purchase team. ### 7. Measurements & Progress * Take site measurements for completed works. * Maintain daily work and progress records. * Assist the QS in taking measurements for client billing and subcontractor bills. * Track quantities executed against BOQ. * Report daily progress to the Project Manager. * Maintain records of completed and pending works. ### 8. Safety & Housekeeping * Ensure workers follow site safety procedures. * Ensure proper use of PPE. * Maintain good housekeeping at the work area. * Ensure safe handling of tools, equipment and materials. * Report unsafe conditions immediately. * Coordinate with the safety team wherever applicable. ### 9. Snagging & Handover * Conduct regular site inspections. * Prepare and track snag/defect lists. * Coordinate rectification of pending works. * Ensure all finishing works are completed properly. * Assist in final inspection and project handover. * Ensure site is clean and ready for client/consultant inspection. ## Required Skills * Strong knowledge of interior fit-out execution. * Ability to read architectural and interior drawings. * Good knowledge of construction materials and finishing methods. * Good knowledge of carpentry, gypsum, ceiling, flooring, painting and other interior works. * Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and trades. * Good measurement and site reporting skills. * Strong quality-control awareness. * Good communication and coordination skills. * Ability to work under project deadlines. * Problem-solving ability and attention to detail. ## Software Knowledge **Required:** * AutoCAD – ability to read drawings * MS Excel * MS Word **Preferred:** * Basic knowledge of project management / site reporting software. ## Qualification * Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil, Interior, Construction or related field. * Relevant practical experience in interior fit-out projects will be preferred. ## Experience **Preferred Experience: 2–6 years** Experience in **Interior Fit-Out / Commercial Interiors / Residential Interiors / Retail / Office Fit-Out / Turnkey Projects** will be preferred. ## Key Performance Areas (KPI) * Timely completion of site activities * Quality of workmanship * Proper execution as per drawings * Labour productivity * Subcontractor coordination * Material utilization and wastage control * Reduction of rework * Site safety and housekeeping * Accurate progress reporting * Successful completion of snagging and handover ## Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should have **strong practical site experience in interior and fit-out works** and be capable of independently supervising workers and subcontractors, understanding architectural/interior drawings, coordinating multiple trades and ensuring that the work is completed **on time, as per drawing, with good quality and proper finishing**. **Candidates with hands-on experience in Interior Fit-Out Contracting will be given preference.**
