Communication officer: HUMAN RIGHTS LAW NETWORK (SEPTEMBER, 2017 – PRESENT)

• Generate in-house content, edit HRLN books and fact-finding reports
• Coordinate between HRLN’s 25 state units to compile reports on all litigation and social work
• Update the website with all recent work, and issue press releases where necessary. I also liason with media groups and arrange for press coverage
• Operate HRLN’s social media accounts, build hashtag campaigns and write blog posts
• Collaborate with activists/lawyers on the ground to address breaking news on violations of human rights, and issue statements on behalf of the organisation
• Coordinate, help conduct and document HRLN’s legal training programmes
• Communicate with all national and international organisations looking to collaborate with HRLN

Edited and rewrote news copy for the Nation news and World pages; designed and produced pages. For the online real-time news desk, I curated breaking news stories and repackaged content for the website.
