Roles and Responsibilities:
Assisted the Help Desk Manager in supervision, training, and mentorship of student employees at the Help Desk, with a specific focus on leading the team of Desktop Support Referral student employees who also contribute to tier 2 ticket resolution Implement and support secure, trusted systems to ensure appropriate confidentiality And privacy of sensitive data. Responsible for the deployment and maintenance of Microsoft windows server. Update Security and application patching of systems. Maintain and monitor the backup and disaster recovery solutions of systems. Help maintain level 2/3 IT ticket queue and knowledgebase. Maintain network, switches and firewalls. Configure role in server. Creating and managing active directory. Document standard operating, network configuration, and troubleshooting. Troubleshooting server related hardware issues. Updating windows machines patches from WSUS. Creating a clustering in windows. Continually updated personal knowledge of computing hardware operating systems and software Maintained confidentiality and discretion when working with passworded or sensitive materials
Networking Skills:
Network sharing, server installation, and NAS data backup. firewall policy creation, VPN, and unauthorized blocking. Structural cabling infrastructure endpoint security installation, and client package installation. Install, configure, secure and maintain Layer 2 & 3 switches, wireless access points Routing protocols Networking: Active Directory, TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, Wins, DHCP Internet links at all sites Applied LAN networking: hubs, cabling, bridges Troubleshooting Hardware & Software Issues To provide regular risk estimates IP security and implement solutions to risks Applied WAN networking: routers, switches, subnetting, IP policies, VPNs, static routing. Technical support and end-user guidance Maintained and configured LAN/CAN/WAN and provided basic help desk support across associated campuses Network Systems Installation Network Repairs and Maintenance Network Security Oversight Profound understanding of LAN and WAN management and maintenance protocols Cloud Management Cloud-based infrastructure migration Network monitoring tools.
