Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management:
* Oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
* Ensure smooth inbound and outbound logistics to meet operational deadlines.
* Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for efficient workflows.
2. Inventory Control:
* Monitor inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
* Conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure accuracy.
* Coordinate with procurement and sales teams for stock replenishment and demand planning.
3. Team Leadership:
* Supervise and train warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to company policies.
* Assign tasks, monitor performance, and foster a positive work environment.
* Ensure safety and compliance training for all team members.
4. Warehouse Organization:
* Maintain an organized and clean warehouse layout for easy access and safety.
* Optimize storage solutions to maximize space utilization.
* Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities.
5. Reporting and Compliance:
* Generate and analyze reports on inventory, productivity, and operational efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
* Manage budgets for warehouse operations and seek cost-saving opportunities.
6. Health and Safety:
* Enforce health and safety standards within the warehouse.
* Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of goods, especially hazardous materials.
* Respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
* Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in the retail industry.
* Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
* Knowledge of inventory control and supply chain management principles.
Working Conditions:
* Warehouse-based role with occasional travel to retail outlets or vendor locations.
* May involve extended hours during peak operational periods.
* Requires physical presence for supervision and inventory checks.
